THE NEW BACK TO READING INITIATIVE BY GOVERNOR AYADE'S AIDE ON STUDENT AFFAIRS

Cross River State Setting Practical Initiatives Towards Evolving The Most Literate State In The Federation
There's so much work to do in repositioning our educational system in Cross River State and if we must,we must capture the rudiments early...
We must be delibrate and conscious of simple indices which will indicate success in our efforts such as this rating by the West African Examination Council...Cross River State is currently ranked 20th out of 36.
I am therefore proposing the launch of "The Project Back To Book Initiative-TPBTBI" across the state and another initiative I tag "Project Brush Me Up-PBMU".
The above projects will and is geared at evolving ‪#‎CRS‬ from it currently ranked status as educationally less developed to an educationally developed state, reignite reading culture amongst our people and particularly the future generation of our state. This is the vision of Sen Prof Ayade Benedict.
Therefore, these two initiatives are practical steps in the right direction that will involve ensuring that parents encourage their kids to read books for at least 2hours everyday, get them to use the library and educational facilities in the state, set up "brush up" centres across the three senatorial districts for in-depth tutorials and practicals on all subjects for those in JSS 3-SS2 (Three days a week-Friday,Saturday and Sunday at 3:30pm-5:30pm), provide opportunity for brush ups for those writing the computer based JAMB exams(Not every Cross Riverian writing these exams has access to the computer or may know how to use one)etc.
Volunteers for this project will be sorted openly and the best amongst them given opportunity to share knowledge with our future scientists, politicians, lawyers, lecturers and officers etc. From projections incentives will be provided to volunteers.
Partnership to make this project succeed is open to all!
Please if you are interested in sponsoring or to volunteer for the realization of this initiative reach Mr Brian on 08113250311 or Mr Ntebri on +2348038059989...Preferably please send a text either as sponsor or vo
lunteer. We will get back to you.
You will all agree with me that our reading culture is dying and there's need to resusitate same and for those who were just regular Mon-Fri students what made the bright kids bright was that extra "brush ups" after school hours.
Together we can...together we will! Service it is, service it will remain! Our immediate targets for the "brush up initiatives" are those seeking entrance into tertiary institutions, JSS3-SS2 Students.
Our goal is to ensure that in WAEC and NECO in the next 2 years we are ranked amongst the first five in the country in terms of performance and to be the most book friendly state in Nigeria.
Save your child from future harrasment and financial loss....Teach him to read now! We can! We will build an eduationally developed state and the most book/literacy friendly state in the federation!!
NB
Certain aspects of the initiative will be adjusted based on feedbacks etc. THIS IS NOT MONEY CENTERED....IT IS NOT HOW MUCH BUT HOW WORTH?
