PRESIDENT BUHARI RESUMES DUTY, WRITES NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Nigeria on Wednesday after a six-day vacation leave in the UK.

The Special Adviser on Media to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina announced his resumption of duties on his twitter handle

The three-paragraph statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday resumed work at the State House in Abuja after a 6-day vacation.

“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has sent a formal notice of his resumption to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“President Buhari was on vacation from February 5th, 2016 to February 10th, 2016.”

Shortly before the statement was issued, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang, was sighted in the Presidential Villa.

Enang entered the President’s office and returned about five minutes later with a brown envelope apparently containing the letter to the National Assembly.
