ABDUCTED WARD 10 COLLATION OFFICER FOR THE PORT HARCOURT RERUN ELECTIONS, FOUND IN MILE ONE POLICE STATION

Abducted  Ward 10  Collation  Officer for the Port Harcourt Rerun  Election  found in Mile 1 Police Station



Mrs Ekwi  Adebisa, the Ward 10 Collation  Officer  abducted  last night   by Minister of Transportation,  Rotimi Amaechi  and about 100 soldiers have been  found  at Mile 1 Police Station in Port Harcourt.


Her abduction  led  to  the  suspension of  collation  of results in the Constituency.


She was first taken to  Novotel  Hotel  where Amaechi  and  Dakuku  Peterside  were lodged  and results  doctored.


In the morning  of  Sunday 20th  March,  2016 she was placed on protective custody  by Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Dakuku Peterside and Acting Managing Director of NDDC, Ibim Semenitari .


PDP  leaders including  Governor Wike  got wind of the fact that she had been placed on protective custody at  the  Mile 1 Police Station and visited the station for  explanation.


Immediately  Governor  Wike and PDP leaders  arrived the station, more than 400 soldiers  stormed the  station alongside  Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and the NIMASSA Director General, Dakuku Peterside  arrived the station and directed that the Mrs Ekwi Adebisa  be released  to them.


Amaechi, Dakuku Peterside and Ibim Semenitari and the  AIG left with the  Ward Collation Officer, Ekwi Adebisa.

RIVERS APC, DISASSOCIATES SELF FROM AMAECHI

The Rivers state chapter of the All Progressives Congress has disassociated itself from the team of the former Rivers State Governor and now Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, accusing him of trying to hijack the state structure of the party. 

Speaking yesterday at the chapter office of the APC, the chapter chairman, Mr.  Ibiamu Ikanya lamented over the none provision of funds by candidates for the elections, he accused the former Governor of collecting all the funds meant for financing the party structures in the state. 

He said "They came from Abuja and have hijacked our state structure, the candidates for these elections are suppose to provide funds to the party for the election, but they rather remitted the funds to the account of the former Governor". "We are not in any way affiliated to the camp of Minister, we can't continue like this, they must be respect for due process in our party. 

Meanwhile the former Governor denied the allegations and accused the chairman of been high on the money he collected from the PDP. He said "we know what the PDP in the state are capable of, may be this is one of their many doings, if Ikanya thinks I collected any money from the candidates, then he should come and get it. 'which money is he talking about, he continued 'yes I asked them to collapse their respective structures to mine, but I didn't collect any money from them'.

The former Governor also debunked rumors of him trying to sideline other key party stakeholders from participating in the financial aspects of the elections.

Rivers people are ready to disgrace Amaechi in the polls - Nwaobi

Ahead of the rerun elections in Rivers State this saturday (19/3/2016) many citizens in the state have expressed their dissatisfaction of the APC led federal administration and the APC as a party.

Rivers people are ready to punish Ameachi for how he forced Nigerians to believe that former President Goodluck Jonathan hated the people of Rivers State, speaking exclusively to our reporters, Ashinze
Nwaobi who is a citizen of Rivers State and also a student of the University of Port Harcourt lamented on the conduct of the former Governor, he also spoke on the untold hardship currently ravaging the country as a result of the present Federal administration's incompetence in handling issues of national economic importance.

He went further to state that the people of Rivers State are tired of seeing former Governor Rotimi Amaechi's face only when it is time for elections. He said, "Ameachi did not only betray the people of Rivers, he betrayed the entire South-South, when he sold our mandate to those who barely regard us as Nigerians, and it is time for the people of Rivers State to publicly disgrace him".

 In another development, an unconfirmed source revealed that the former Governor is linked to a group, who is planning on distributing weapons to thugs to make the environment unconducive on the day of elections. He said "Ameachi is hiring thugs and street beggars, promising to pay them 20,000 naira each". The Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike has promised the people of Rivers State that the elections will be peacefully conducted and they should go out and vote for the PDP, a party they can always trust to deliver on her promises, than voting the APC, that are trying to buy their rights.

Abduction: 14-yr-old Ese is 5 months pregnant

14 year old Ese Rita Oruru, the Bayelsa born girl child who was abducted by Yunusa Dahiru, alias Yellow but rescued by the Police in Kano, has been discovered to be about 5 months pregnant, very reliable sources have told Reporters.

Consequently, it was gathered that the white Hijab dress she wore on her arrival from Kano on Tuesday, was used to cover the pregnancy even though her physical condition and looks created a suspicion.

Our Reporter was told that it was the condition in which Police authorities discovered about Ese that informed the IGP, Solomon Arase’s directive that she should be handed over to the Gender and Child Protection Unit and later, a team from the Medical Department of the Force to carry out a comprehensive medical examination of the girl-child at the Police Medical Facility in Area 1, Garki.

Upon certifying her medical status and emotional state, Vanguard gathered that the Inspector General of Police feeling uncomfortable with the transport arrangement of the mother that they return by road, cancelled the arrangement and directed that both Ese and her mother be flown to Yenegoa by air.

Meanwhile, the IGP has directed the Bayelsa State Police Command to take over investigation in the child violence offense saga because according to sources, the offense was committed in Bayelsa which is the place of residence of the abductor, Yunusa Dahiru.

Consequently, Vanguard was told the Yunusa will be moved to Yenegoa to face interrogation and prosecution for kidnapping and child abuse as well as violence
against a girl-child.
